The 45th SIMD annual meeting will be held April 14th-17th 2024 at the Sheraton/ Le Meridien Charlotte Hotel Complex in Charlotte, NC and will be in conjunction with the Genetic Metabolic Dietitians International (GMDI) annual meeting which immediately follows the SIMD meeting. The SIMD meeting will feature sessions on: IEM discovery through NIH Centers for Precision Medicine, genomic therapies, addressing challenges in drug development for IMDs and more.

World CDG Awareness Day 2024

World CDG Awareness Day is an annual event that provides international focus for patient groups and families living with CDG. It is an opportunity to raise awareness, influence change, promote timely disease diagnosis, and improve access to better standards of care and management. World CDG Awareness day is celebrated each year on May 16th - the birthday of Dr. Jaak Jaken who reported the first CDG patients in 1980.
