The Glycobiology GRS is a small group setting that fosters open discussion of innovative glycobiology research through formal presentation and social interaction. The Glycobiology GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. The seminar will highlight recent progress in understanding the functional role of glycans and glycoconjugates in a range of areas including (although not limited to): cell signaling, host-pathogen interactions, immune regulation, development, genetic disease, neurobiology and cancer. Emerging methodologies for glycan synthesis, structural glycan analysis and glyco-informatics will also be discussed.
